The 2K11 24/7 CCCIV: Halloween Humbug

If there were the possibility of being a Halloween Humbug, that just might be me. It's not that I don't like Halloween. It's not that, classically speaking, it's a holiday of mixed religious origin. It's not even that I feel like I've "outgrown" Halloween — I'm not about to go around and burst the bubble of anyone who really enjoys it.

It's just not my thing.

The 2K11 24/7 LXXI: Chaos Without Order

In the midst of a bit of chaos right now — the day was more or less dedicated to preparing our wedding invitations to send out sooner than later. We had several friends over, and over the course of 7 hours (including breaks), they're done for the most part. Address labels still need to be completed, and other little things for the wedding need to be sorted out, but we're far closer now than we were before. It's a great feeling.

So why am I telling you all this?

Swapping, Complaining and Wolfram|Alpha

Hey all,

So sorry that the blog's a bit late today - I spent the evening with Sarah and one of our groomsmen playing a game we got recently - Catan Histories: Settlers of America - Trails to Rails. Decent game, but it's LONG. Probably took 2 1/2 hours to get through it to a Case P. victory (partly because Sarah just got tired of it in the end and gave me the two cards I needed to win - I was playing orange). To be fair, it was Jay's first game and Sarah played a colour that seems to star the game at a disadvantage, so perhaps we need a rematch...

Doomz tackles a major challenge. A year at a time with daily updates!
