The 2K11 24/7 - Was it all about self-improvement all along?

I'm quickly learning that Darren Rowse and Chris Garrett's PROBLOGGER is a blogging manifesto in the guise of a book on how to create a blog to make money. With a ton of topics and questions on whether the stuff you're blogging will actually interest anyone (which just MIGHT be of some importance if you're looking to make money from your blog), it really gets the wheels on the head turning. If you're wondering why your blog just isn't where you want it to be, I recommend this as a good tool.

From looking at a number of the questions in the book, I can tell you right now - this blog is lacking in the focus department. Hell, I haven't even updated the domain name yet. Yeah, it's lacking focus.

It's not for a lack of content - I have a ton of content I put together all the time - comics, infographic ideas, lyrics - I'm just not ready to share it. Heh - maybe if I spent less time reading, I'd spend more time wrapping it up to show the Web, but with me, that's not a guarantee!

Hm. I wonder if it's a blog about who I want to be as a person and the journey I'm going to take to get there.

That doesn't sound half-bad!

Maybe I'll focus each day on one thing I'm going to improve myself and others can try to follow suit if they feel they need to do it as well. We can all comment on it and improve... through SYNERGY!

A man can dream, right? But I'm liking the sounds of this idea. Feel free to let me know if you think it's epic (or just an epic FAILURE in the making)!

Today's improvement: working on turning ideas into a reality! I've been reading up on 2011 trends, business law and web design all day! Hopefully you'll see the fruits of my labours soon!

I'm out!

See, I like the randomness of all your blogs.

Personally, I find that everyone puts far too much emphasis on having goals and being specific about what you do. Focus is so overrated. Then again, if one needs focus to pump out great ideas then so be it. With that being said, you are not one of those people!

Maybe your focus is awesome random ideas....haha.

I'm so proud of you plugging out these daily posts, holy moly! You make my day that much more interesting :)

Heh, thank you for the encouragement :) Personally, I don't see this particular goal to be all that stifling - the entire idea of self-improvement is broad enough that I can essentially grab a random topic out of my narrator's hat every day and come up with something good.

You know me - there's so many ideas bouncing around my head that it's always quite difficult to translate it into one medium.

But at the same time, I definitely wouldn't want my blog to lose its charm. There will still be tons of the random going on - I just think that the blogs will have one main goal daily and everything else will be add-ons. I'll still get all my ideas out there, but I think it'll help me make sure I'm not missing anything :)

It also positions me better to get in touch with others who might be trying to improve themselves and share ideas and interests.

So worry not - I'll still try to get you your daily dose of awesome :)

Thanks as always for the support!
