The 2K11 24/7 XXXIV: Voice Post - Friends. How Many of Us Have Them?

(download)

Hey all, and welcome to today's post :) Today I've done some reflection on my friendships and what it means to be a friend. There's much to do in order to have meaningful, lasting friendships, and I chose to touch on a bit of it in today's voice post. Agree? Disagree? I'd love to hear all about it — the comment box is below to use to your liking :)

Have an awesome night!

Excellent voice post. Way to change it up with different media :)

You hit the mark right on the head (if I may butcher a cliche) about friendships. When I was younger, it was easier for me to cut people out that weren't serving my greater purpose, but as I get older and meet less people it's been harder to make the chop.

I find that those that aren't as deserving of my time or friendship I see less and less until they just drop off the radar completely.

Some of my longest lasting and fulfilling friendships are with people that put in the same if not greater effort that I do and it's a great feeling having like minded friends around! That's you included :)

It's true, while you may not see someone regularly (live outside of city, lifestyle changes etc), but you still feel the love and that's what's important.

Again, fantastic post. I hope everyone listens to it.

Thanks, NJ :) I try to mix it up to see what works well for me and what might be too much of a stretch — I've enjoyed being able to afford some variety so far!

I could always go with the cheesy song "Thank You For Being a Friend", but I don't think I'll be busting out into that song anytime soon!

I still feel — as I alluded to in an earlier post — that we are the sum of the people we keep around ourselves; so we'd better make sure that the friendships we have actually matter!

Thanks for being there. Don't plan to vanish anywhere anytime soon!
